Aleksi Shved, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul has visited Canakkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry in order to exchange views on bilateral cooperation.
The meeting, held at CCCI Congress and Fair Centre, was attended by CCCI Chairman Selçuk Semizoğlu, Vice Chairman Murat Aydoğdu, Secretary General Sema Sandal, Recai Başaran, Canakkale Coordinator of SMDA Investment Support Office and CCCI Foreign Trade Coordinator Bülent Bogadır.
Chairman Semizoğlu has stated, “We have such an important historical and cultural ties. We can establish international twinning links with Belarusian towns. We can contribute to increasing Belarusian visitors by promoting the Ancient site of Troy and the Museum of Troy.
We will organise the needed cooperation with Belarus in order to benefit from the know-how knowledge of Belarus's world-famous manufacturer of chemical and heavy machinery industry and of its world-wide brands in the agricultural machinery sector. I thank Aleksi Shved for his cooperative approach and his visit to our Chamber.”
Aleksi Shved, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul has also expressed, “Canakkale has always been special to me. We aim to increase the trade volume between Belarus and Turkey from $1 billion to $1,5 billion. Canakkale offers opportunities for agricultural machineries and natural fertiliser market. We would be glad to cooperate in tourism and many other areas, especially in agricultural products. The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Turkey plans to visit Canakkale as well. I thank CCCI Board of Directors for their warm hospitality.”
The visit ended after presenting local products to Aleksi Shved as gifts and having souvenir photo as a memory of the day.
